Warehouse Security

Each warehouse is equipped with cameras that record activity 24/7. The video is timestamped for quality control and loss prevention purposes and backup footage is kept for an extended period of time. Employees are provided access cards as all entrances to the building are secure. These access cards are programmed to limit access to certain areas of the warehouse. Customers/Vendors/Visitors are required to sign in and out of the facility. Policy dictates that all non-employees must be escorted while on the premise.

Inventory Tracking

Each asset is given a unique asset tag specific to VCS. This eliminates the possibility of assets being shared by multiple

Shipping and receiving of assets to and from company employees/contractors with progress tracking

Shipping, Configuration, and packaging instructions are required on every contract to ensure assets arrive on time, through the proper method of transit, and packaged according to customer’s expectations. Return Waybills can also be included on shipments upon request to simplify the return process for the recipient. Automated emails which include tracking information and instructions can also be set to send at the time of deployment.

Breakfix/Refresh/Offboarding

NEW/REPLACEMENT Assets shipped to employees with return labels, allowing them to seamlessly ship back their current assets to VCS

  • Refresh – older assets that do not meet system requirements determined by the customer.

EMPTY BOX Shipment with return labels and instructions to employees in order to recover those assets

Bundling of assets as well as instructions to enhance the box opening experience and minimize the amount of packages

Vernon Solution 360 customers have the option to have their assets kitted before deployment. Kitting of assets typically reduces the overall deployment costs throughout the year. In addition, we have found that through kitting, the likelihood of theft is greatly reduced as larger boxes containing multiple assets are more difficult to disappear.

Custom kits can be predefined for new hire employees, contractors, department groups, annual refresh sets, etc. with drop-in box inserts and education materials specifically included for each.

Online visibility of asset status and control of Device Lifecycle Management services through a custom web portal

Every customer is provided with a custom web portal, designed specifically to share visibility into all aspects of the device lifecycle management process. From new hire kit shipments to offboarding requests, users have full control of their deployment schedules. Through permission-based roles, users will have access to real-time inventory, order statuses, tracking information, etc. Lower-level roles can be set up for users with restricted access and limited visibility if needed.

Automated notifications can be set up to make employees aware of packages in route and to share additional communication.

Minimizing the e-waste of end-of-life assets through responsible and cost-effective Asset Recovery Services (ARS)

Planning ahead of time on how to effectively and responsibly remove assets that are no longer required for redeployment is very important. One option for end-of-life assets includes the removal of sensitive data from each system and responsibly disposing of those assets to an R2-certified source.

Depending on the type of asset and the rental value they still hold within the marketplace, there does exist the opportunity to sell specific devices back to VCS, extending the life of those out-of-warranty assets. Before any smart devices (notebooks, tablets, etc.), begin moving into the rental fleet, VCS will perform a DoD wipe to eliminate any user-specific information previously housed on those assets.
