Asset tagging is the process of applying identification labels to assets to easily identify the asset and their specs throughout their lifecycle. Typically, barcodes are printed on these asset tags which can be quickly scanned to report and document data regarding the asset’s serial number, warranty end date, etc. By adding these barcodes, you reduce the likelihood of mis documenting this important information through manual data entry. Asset tagging also allows companies to assign a unique identifier to each individual asset.
Asset Tag Production Service
Vernon Computer Source offers three custom asset tag types which we will generate and apply to each of your devices. The size of each asset tag is dependent on the data being printed.

Asset Tag Application Service
Vernon Computer Source also offers asset tag application services. For customers and partners who already have their physical asset tags on hand, yet the application of those asset tags in large volume is a pain point, we can help. In those circumstances, VCS will apply your assets tags to each device for you prior to deployment and record the necessary data to attribute the asset tags to specific devices. Once assets are shipped, a report will be supplied listing which asset tags associated to their individual device deployed to the location or locations you provide. For those customers who warehouse with VCS, we can include the customer specific asset tag details in the daily/weekly reporting for real-time inventory tracking.
For customers looking for a more permanent professional look outside of asset tag sticker, VCS does offer sequential asset tag etching. Additional design options are available including logo etching. Click here to learn more.
