At the show, attendees and exhibitors can “learn more about the emerging technologies that enable us to work toward the common goal of taking wireless and broadband communications to yet another level.”
CTIA Trade Show – Showcasing Global Technology
Why does the CTIA show appeal to everyone from software designers to computer rental firms to ISPs? Because it is a major event on the technology trade show calendar. It helps technology professionals keep up to speed on the latest innovations in the wireless world.
It will be held this year at the Las Vegas Convention Center from April 1st to April 3rd. It is billed as the most important global technology event of the year. It attracts more than 1,000 exhibiting companies, and over 40,000 professionals from 125 countries.
Keynote sessions for this year’s event include presentations with industry leaders discussing the latest in wireless topics. Speakers for these sessions include : Mike Lazaridis, President and Co–CEO of Research in Motion; Ivan Seidenberg, Chairman and CEO of Verizon Communications; Robert Bach, President of Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices Division; Benjamin Wolff, CEO of Clearwire Corporation; and Eric J. Topol, Chief Academic Officer of Scripps Health.
In an appearance sure to create a lot of buzz, there will be a special keynote address by Al Gore.
