While our core business has traditionally been through IT rentals, our customers throughout the years have presented unique requests. Over time, those requests became more and more similar. As a result, we built these additional services into turnkey options which we refer to as “white glove service” for our customers.

Asset Tagging

Labeling of assets with customer specific information such as warranty expiration, support phone numbers, etc.

Custom Imaging

Imaging of notebooks, tablets, phones, etc. so those assets arrive onsite to employees in a “ready-to-work” condition.

Etching

Promote brand unity, improve ease of identification, and make theft much less likely with custom etching.

Kitting

Bundling of multiple assets (computers, cables, etc.) to ensure staff have all the equipment necessary to begin work.

When looking at higher volume deployments, end customers typically don’t have the resources or time to perform these services on-site. Even with lower volume deployments such as 200 notebooks arriving at your facility, the work effort and waste which accumulates for staff can be difficult to manage.

Our white glove service offerings are comprised of 4 key services: Asset Tagging, Custom Imaging, Inventory Kitting, and Laser Etching. Designed for mass production, Vernon Computer Source is positioned to handle these white glove service options whether it be for 100 notebooks or 50,000 tablets.

School District Challenge Case:

Each year we are approached by school districts and various partners nationally who support them to white glove a high volume of notebooks. As an example of the typical requests for white glove and laser etching service we provide, below is the scenario for one such project.

  • Receive 30,000 Lenovo 100e Chromebooks into US based warehouse
  • Custom etch the school district’s logo as well as sequential asset tag ID
  • Google Enrollment and OS update of all Chromebooks
  • Record and report on asset tag and serial number for each device
  • Bulk pack all Chromebooks and ship to 36 individual locations
  • Provide tracking and notification for each shipment
